They are doing so well. Clara was moved to a bassinet last week and as of Sat. Elsie got to join her. :) We are going to see them today and I can't wait to see them together!! Elsie is totally off air/O2 but is still struggling to keep her food down when she gets it all at once. She is currently being fed through a syringe pump over a half an hour and is tolerating that well. Clara is still on a little O2, about 25%. That really isn't too bad since room air (what we breath) is 21%. She just can't quite due without yet, however she is eating really well. She has already taken several feedings entirely from a bottle.
It sounds like they are really enjoying being together in the same crib. When I talked to the nurse yesterday she said the staff often sees them sucking on each others hands. :)

I am doing well and feeling just about normal again which is nice. We have kind of settled into a routine of visiting and being home, but it still seems hectic. It is so hard to leave home but so nice to go see my girlies...and then it it so hard to leave them but wonderful to get home to my boys. I know it will be a whole new weariness when Clara and Elsie come home but it will be so great to be weary in one place.

Thank you so very much for all the prayers!! It brings tears to my eyes to think of how all across the country and even internationally we have people petitioning our Awesome Lord and Savior for the health of daughters and family. Thank you everyone!

So GUYS....your girls are SO CUTE!! I can't believe that they are ALMOST a month old. WOW...that's amazing! IT was nice to hear from you guys today! Hope that all is well! We continue to pray for you and your family. Praying that the girls get better every day. Praying that Owen adjusts to all the craziness that is going on in your life! Praying for You (RYAN and KJIRSTI) as you are living that you won't be stressed and that you are able keep to keep up to date with the girls and with your town.
Happy Easter and PRAISE GOD!! The girls are looking filled out and healthy. Sounds like they are definitely improving. Hang in there. The days of driving back and forth will soon be a thing of the past and then you'll probably wish you had some alone/quiet time once in a while. :)
We can't believe it's been four weeks! They have come so far already. Before you know it they will be home! It's great to see pictures of Owan and know that he is doing well too! You are looking so good after only one month! We have been praying for you and are so glad to hear that you are doing well.
Children truly are precious in His sight - what precious little girls. Trust you're able to rest knowing that God holds them in His hands. Sounds like soon you'll be all together. Good to hear they're making steady progress. Before you know it this will all be in the past. Blessings to you all, Lan and Susan

Hi Kjirsti and Ryan...
I just wanted to let you know that mu husband and I totally know what you are going through and how scary and intimidating it all can be. Our twin girls were born at 32 weeks and weighed 2 lbs and 13 oz and 2lbs and 12 oz, they spent just over 5 weeks in the nicu and special care. They are about 8 months old now and are doing wonderful. THey are so strong and healthy- Reagan is just getting her first tooth and I think Carys is just behind her. they love to fight over toys already and love to laugh at each other. During the 5 weeks that they were in the hospital, I couldn't see 2,3,4 months down the road, I never thought they would be sitting up and rolling around, but they keep growning and getting bigger and healthier! You and your family are in our prayers!!
love Tara Rich (Martenson)
