The lilttlest ones

Our girls are doing very well. The last few days they have both stayed put for most of the monitoring. This morning however, they decided to give us a hard time again. I am hoping tonight is better. When one moves around a lot the monitor doesn't pick up her heartbeat, so then I try pushing on the "sensor" (I don't know what it's called) to find her again but if it takes more than a minute I usually call the nurse back to help find her again. Then by the time the nurse gets there (or just when she walks in) our little girl decides to behave again. This doesn't sound that bad but I feel bad when I have to bug the nurses all the time. Also when they go in and out like that I get a little nervous. I shouldn't because I can always feel them moving and their rates are always well within range when they do come in. If they come in at a low rate for several minutes then it's something to be concerned about. So far that hasn't happened which is wonderful!

This evening went very well! They both stayed in range for the most part even though they did move a lot. :)

It's so fun to hear the girls are doing wonderful! I wish that we lived closer so I could come over and visit! (I'd maybe even scrapbook with you!) Enjoy TLC! Smiles!

Hi Kari! I was so happy that I found your blog. Wow, I hadn't heard you were having to stay in the hospital. I'm sure that must be hard to be away from your little boy and your big boy :) - but that is definitely what you must do right now for those little baby girls. I'm sure I'll be checking in on your blog now every day! Candis Berge

Very happy to hear the girls are doing well! I'm also glad to hear you are doing well, except for your severe case of boredom. Hope all this blogging helps to pass some of the time. It sounds like you have found plenty of things to do. If you need any suggestions let me know. I'm sure I can think of a few ways to get you in trouble...I mean keep you out of trouble. ;) I am looking foward to reading your blog and keeping up with you and your growing family!

Thinking of you in the warm Arizona sun,
Carrie
P.S.-Hope you are enjoying the many fabulous shows on TLC. :)

Hi Kjirsti! We had eleven of us at our WMF meeting last night. You were missed! We are starting our Bible Study of "Women of the Bible" and we talked about nasty Herodias from Mark 6:19. We sure hope you can join us again for our meetings in ?X months? Anyway, Monday night I was at your house for another meeting, and I LOVE the paint colors you have chosen for your rooms! It is all so nice. Good Job!!! Well, all for now, get your rest, and take care. Your may not get that much rest for the next 10 years. (Just kidding, well, no, not really.) :) Luann

It must be so difficult to be away from Owan and Ryan. It's so helpful that Grandpa Nilsen can be there to give Ryan a break and bring Owan to visit Mommy. It's fun to hear how the girls are doing and how you are doing.

How smart to bring your pictures and get them organized into scrap books. I still have by babies pictures in a box and my baby just turned 37.

We are keeping your little family in our prayers.

Love and prayers, Uncle Richard and Aunt Elle

We are praying for you at Grace Lutheran (in Lynnwood). I was also on besrest for 5 months with my first . . . thankfully not in the hospital but I can totally relate to your feelings of anxiety/weepy/chaos, your addiction to TLC and scrapbooking and your love/fear/prayers for your babies. We had NST 3 times a week, biophysical profiles at least once a week and more ultrasounds that I can count. We had an emergency induction 5 weeks early and stayed in the NICU for over a week with a 4 pound premie . . . I'm happy to report we have a bubbly wonderful 3 1/2 year old now that wouldn't be here without God's grace and amazing medical advances and doctoring staff. My favorite verse during the crazy times was Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and courageous, do not be discouraged, for the Lord, your God, will be with you wherever you go." Hang in there!!
