I have had some visitors this week! First, Ryan came up Sunday night and stayed with me. It was wonderful to have someone (especially since it was Ryan :) ) there with me just talking and watching DVDs and being almost normal. He was able to stay a lot of Monday and he happened to catch an ultrasound too. I am so glad he was able to come because I had hit a crying point with too much down time. (Crying point = I can't handle this anymore and tears come too easily)
Tuesday Pastor Grant (from West Union) and Deb stopped in just before lunch and about two minutes after they left Bill and Owan were here. They had lunch here and then Owan and I did a lot of walking up and down the halls. He really likes all the nurses (well anybody actually) and they all seem to like him too! :) We walked into one of the family lounges and there were a couple people in there. Owan walked right up to one guy sitting there, the guy picked him up and set him on his knee and Owan was totally OK with it. Then he wanted down right away to go see someone else. I have to say I was relieved he wanted down right away, even though it turns out the guy's grandson is the same age as Owan. Up until this age, I have been glad that Owan is so outgoing and fearless, but I have to admit it is getting a little unnerving to know he might just walk off with anyone who would pick him up. After our little jaunt, Bill rolled me (with Owan riding on my lap) downstairs to the lobby (where they have a coffee stand)for a chance to be somewhere besides the OB floor. (Thank you so much Bill) What a wonderful Father-in-law...driving two hours so I can see my son, giving me a few minutes of freedom from my room, and a mocha on top of it all!! :) By that time Owan was getting a little cranky so it was time for them to go.
Today, Jeremy and Jaime Ruchdashel stopped in to say hi and dropped off a box off cookies for me. It was great to talk with them a little while since we are in such similar situations. It's nice to be able to talk about doctors, nurses, NICU, etc. with people who are experiencing it at the same time as us.
I realized when I was eating lunch that it's already Wed. which means I'm about half way through my second week here! My days are going quickly this week!
I have most of my pictures organized now. I have just started on our wedding pics which should be easy. I have already done an album for it so I just have to go through doubles and extra pics. After those it's on to digital pics, which are a little daunting because there are so many. They have to be organized and then labeled and then I choose which to print. My heading is spinning just thinking about it.
To all of you who are going to ask if I can organize your years and years of pictures-sorry, it doesn't work that way. :( I could scrapbook them for you though if they are organized. :) I keep telling my nurses and doctors (and now you all) who ask, if they ever have to stay in the hospital for weeks, they should do it then because it's a great time consumer.
OK, I think that is enough babbling for one day. I'll write about the babies tomorrow.
Thank for all the comments! :)

So good to hear news again! I was wondering if everything was OK with you and your little ones. We are so happy that you could have some visitors and change of scenery over the weekend. I know that the time gets really long in the hospital.
Happy scrapbooking! Sounds like you have your work cut out for you...by the way, I have a bunch of organized pictures!...too bad that we don't live closer by!
CUTE hats!! :-) Glad that you were able to have lots of visitors! I wish that I could get over there to see you!! We are supposed to get 18 inches of snow this weekend. Glad that you are getting everything organized....after that are you gonna start scrapbooking?
I'm glad that you go to have a MOCHA!! What fun!! :-)
Hope that you are well! I'll talk to you later!
Organizing pictures! Sounds familiar - haven't touched mine again in the last year though. Keep up the good work - wish I could come and share a cup of coffee with you too - and somebody needs to teach Ryan how to take his BP! Love you lots, Mom
Kjirsti~ You have a great attitude! I can imagine how exciting it is to see people from the "outside" world! I bet Ryan just felt like a knight in shining armor rescuing you from boredom. :)
I don't know if you've heard but we're expecting a baby as well. I cannot fathom having 2 babies at once and I already have TONS of respect for you guys!
Andrea
I came across your blog and was amazed by your story. We will keep your family in our prayers. We experienced 6 weeks in the NICU with Noah. So we got a small taste of what you are going through. We will pray the weeks go quickly and that the babies will remain safe inside you for as long as possible.
Hi,Kjirsti,
It is great to keep in touch this way. I am sure the days and nights seem very long, but, we know this is the best place for you right now.
We took a meal up to your family last night. They seem to be doing ok, but you are missed!
I am having an extra day off as I had a scheduled dental appointment for 2 crowns> :(. The appointment was canceled because of the weather. If the roads weren't too bad, we would pop over to see you. I am afraid we could get there and end up staying. Some roads have already been closed-mostly to the west of us, but, we are supposed to get hit as well. Ugh. I am ready to change the channels!!! We are thankful that we had power during the last storm. So many people are still with out. We are so used to electricity that we take it for granted.
Take care and we are praying for all of you. We are planning on coming to see you as soon as the weather will allow.
Love,
Marilyn
Hi! Fun to hear the updates of everyday life in the hospital. I'm sure it ends up being such a highlight to have people come. Yea for visitors! Sounds like you're making good progress on the pictures -way to go! Don't be too speedy on them, though, or you'll run out of things to do! Wouldn't that stink? Are you still loving to watch TLC and HGTV? I can't remember if I told you this yet, but I faithfully registered each day for the HGTV Dream Home that will be given away live on March 18th. Since I'm guessing there's only a few thousand or million entries, I'm hoping to be one of the three finalists. We'll see..... You'll have to watch and see if I get this new Dream Home in Winter Park, CO. If I do, there's plenty of room for your whole family to visit, so I expect company!
I hope you have a GREAT day!
Man somethings never change... Ryan is still a goofball Hoser. :-)
Kjirsti, I am glad things are going so well in the hospital with you and the twins! By the way, Christine is SOOOOOO Jealous. Not only does she want to start having kids but Twins Girls is her dream! (she even has names picked out for them already) You are both so Blessed. I hope that when we get back from Japan we can get to see you and your family. We will return in August sometime.
Ganbate (which is Good Luck in Japanese) and God Bless.
Dan
