Well, lets see...what is different since last time I wrote...uh...still thinking...ummm...well...
Really not much is different although there is snow again out my window after last night. It's really quiet around here. Last night I asked one of the nurses about how many people are here and she said about six but average is ten to twelve. So like I said fairly quiet.
After three "practice hats" I think I have finally made the smallest hats I can with my knifty knitter. They may still be too big for our little girls but we'll see. I definitely wouldn't mind taking orders but I would need yarn. Although maybe somebody wants a pink and purple one...? Any takers? :) Mike B?
For all you book lovers out there-wait make that fiction lovers-I just started a new series that I am thoroughly enjoying. Thanks to my wonderful sis-in-law Kari, who lent them to me for my time of confinement. The series is Chronicles of the Kings and it's based on the Old Testament. This first one is about Ahaz and Hezekiah.
As for an update on the babies...
We figured out they are much easier to monitor if we do it before I eat my meals. Morning monitoring is about 7:30 and the evening it's about 5:30 or six. I lay on the bed where I get cords strapped to my belly and then I watch the monitor and listen to the heartbeats for an hour. Well, I often try and find something on TV to watch as well, but if one or both of the babies moves too much then I have to call the nurse to come find them again. The other morning Dr. Peck came in and took me off a little early because they looked fine. What a treat! :) The nurses can't do that though cuz they have to follow the written orders.
I guess I found enough to write about even though it seems so much the same here. Thanks to everyone that has commented. It's great to hear from anyone other than nurses!

Hi Kjirsti,
Boy, do the memories come flooding back! How far along are you? Have you made a "countdown calendar." I made a huge one for my wall when I was in the hospital and it was great watching it and seeing me get farther and farther along, though I guess that's not really the concern for you. Is there some concern since your first was early? You are in the best place if that happens, though. I know exactly what you're going through (well, I couldn't walk around), so if you feel like e-mailing or chatting on the phone, feel free. I have a blog at http://ericksontykes.blogspot.com.
Hi Kjirsti,
We are so glad to hear about all that is happening with you and the girls. Dan and I have been reading your updates everyday and we are very happy that you decided to start this blog, so everyone can hear about you and your family. We are praying for you. I know that it's difficult being the hospital when you feel like you could just as well be at home, I've experienced a similar situation. Keep up a positive attitude and remember that it's only 30 days out of your entire life and your girls will benefit from it for a lifetime!! Ganbate!
Greetings from warm California! (We heard you had a blizzard today...sorry!) It is so nice to read the updates on your family situation. We are praying for all of you.
Love the addition of the pics! Glad to know all "my girls" are being carefully watched over. Love you, Mom
Hi Kjirsti,
It is so great to be able to read how things are going for you and the girls! Now I can quit pestering Stacy at work!
We will continue to pray for you and the your growing family.
Love you, Alison
Wow...I love the pictures! You are looking pretty good and your guys are pretty good lucking! :-) I'm glad that you are keeping somewhat busy! Hopefully you are able to keep finding things to keep you occupied! Pretty soon you'll have two beautiful little girls!
I'm pretty impressed about the knitting. Nice job...well I should go we have a bible study! Hopefully you guys didn't get dumped on too much with the snow! We got like 8 inches! It was not fun shoveling!
Twins! How exciting! I will be praying for you and the girls. I cannot believe how much Owen has changed since this last summer at Bible Camp. He is so cute!

Kjirsti, This "blogging" is fun. Sure helps to keep in touch. You look great! You've been in our thoughts and prayers.
Kari has been visiting this weekend. We've had fun being a family along with J&D especially since this weekend we had SOOO much snow involving alot of snowblow/shoveling! Doesn't look like this will be Julie's time to deliver but she is less than 2 weeks now. We're all ready to welcome their baby into the family.
Praying for all 5 of you!
Well, this is my first response to a blog. Its good to be able to read daily about whats happening (or what's not happening:) I just thought I would say hi and its good to hear that all is going well so far. I will talk to you soon.
Kjirsti,
So glad you and babies are doing well considering the circumstances. Miss Mia sends you a huge kiss !!! You are in our prayers. Never seen a bog like this so exciting!! I am usually home with the baby so if you need to chat about something or nothing I usually have time as long as Mia doesn't think it is her daddy on the other line then she wants to talk to him...well more like push the buttons. Well if there is something you need let us know you said you needed yarn what color???

Hi Kjirsti! Hope you are having a good day! Things are fine in Fayette - we had a fun weekend witht the weather - as I am sure you did as well! Fayette lost power for about 13 hours Saturday night - it wasn't that bad because the majority of it was overnight. You REALLY appreciate electricity when it is gone! So many others had it worse or are still having problems - GOD BLESS THEM! It definately makes you think ahead and appreciate the simple things in life! There are so many things to look forward to this Spring - nice weather, Easter, healthy babies & COMING HOME! Take care & find JOY in every day! God Bless! Kari S.
We hope you aren't too bored in the hospital. Rest up, you are going to be a BUSY mom! You'll do GREAT though! Blessings to you and all of your family! You are ALL in our prayers!!!
Hey Kjirsti,
I am so excited for you! I can't imagine being in the hospital for that long (although I wouldn't mind getting waited on, not having to clean, and watching TLC all day-or to be able to sit and read a book). Anywho...what a miracle! We have you and your family in our prayers! Write if you get bored! God bless!
